What you can see for each business

• Official business name and Pennsylvania entity/file number
• Entity type (LLC, business corporation, nonprofit corporation, LP and more) and whether it is domestic or foreign
• Whether it appears in the State’s active-business data, and its initial filing date
• The Annual Report that applies: filing year, deadline and Pennsylvania state fee

Where the results come from

Business records come from the Pennsylvania Department of State’s Registered Businesses in PA data, published on data.pa.gov. It lists active registered associations and is refreshed about once a month, so a business formed or changed in the last few weeks may not appear yet. The official, real-time record is the Pennsylvania business search.

Deadlines and fees are calculated from the Department of State’s Annual Report rules for your entity type and today’s date in Pennsylvania.

Searching tips

• Start with the first distinctive word of the name — “Keystone Freight”, not “The Keystone Freight Company LLC”.
• Searching by entity number is exact: leading zeros are optional.
• If you can’t find a company, it may be inactive, very new, or registered under a different legal name. Check the official search.
